ELLA
(European Learning & Leadership Awards)

Introduction
The European Learning and Leadership Awards (ELLA) are a suite of training programmes designed to address multiple needs in an integrated format.
Leadership and Learning have been identified as key future skills. Organisations, individuals and society are facing considerable challenges during these challenging times. ELLA provides substantial solutions to many of these needs. Rapidly changing and uncertain times call for a different kind of leadership. This is a time of unprecedented challenge which has brought about threats and opportunity in equal measure. Leaders for these times need to be developed and equipped to deal with such challenges. Never before has inspired and competent leadership been required, at all levels.
The active development of a cohort of leaders is an investment that will pay off at multiple levels and produce wide-ranging benefits.
The ELLA Framework provides a practical response to these challenges. The 12 elements of ELLA provide a robust framework within which leaders at all levels can be developed. These elements have a current and future focus. The immediate benefit is that individuals and organizations who have undertaken various ELLA programmes will have acquired the capability and capacity to operate effectively under crisis or challenging conditions. Resilience, coping skills and helping skills will be enhanced and will strengthen any organization or individual’s ability to cope with current social and economic realities.
But ELLA is not just about crisis management, the programme is about the future. An innovative and enterprising mindset is required at all levels of society and the economy. ELLA provides the skills, insights and capabilities to create a future society and economy that works effectively and provides security, benefits and growth opportunities for all.
The ELLA framework is underpinned by considerable consultation and research. Employers, recruiters, educational institutions, development professionals (Trainers, OD Consultants, Coaches etc.), and potential participants / job-seekers have all been consulted. The outcome is a package that is “doable”, meaningful, and adds value at every level.
